MINSAIT, winner of the 30th National Health Informatics Awards for its technological solutions for the healthcare sector

  1. A more equitable, sustainable and people-centred future

The Spanish Society for Health Informatics (SEIS) has awarded Minsait (Indra Group) the 2024 National Health Informatics Award in the category of ‘Organisation that has made the greatest technological effort to develop solutions in the healthcare sector’.

Made up of the board of directors of the SEIS, the jury valued the fact that the company is ‘a benchmark in the digital transformation of the healthcare sector in Spain’, with more than 2,000 professionals dedicated to the field of healthcare and 25 years of experience in the development of ‘innovative and efficient solutions that have a decisive impact on people’s quality of life and the efficiency of healthcare systems’.

For decades, the ruling emphasises, Minsait has played an important role in the National Health System, ‘with a presence in practically all of the autonomous communities and in the bodies of the General State Administration, in particular the Ministry of Health’.

The jury also recognised some relevant projects, such as ‘the digital and remote assistance to patients of the regional health service with home care, the intelligent electronic health record based on Minsait’s Onesait Healthcare suite, and the development of the TSV (Virtual Health Card) superapp of Madrid, the project that in 2024 has had the greatest national and international impact’. ‘The experience accumulated in Spain,’ the ruling adds, ’has allowed Minsait to become a leading Spanish multinational in Latin America, the Middle East and Europe.’

A more equitable, sustainable and people-centred future

The director of Markets and Verticals at Minsait, Juan Carlos Rodríguez Manzaneque, and the global director of Healthcare at the digital transformation company, Antonio Martos, yesterday collected the SEIS award at the XXX National IT and Healthcare Awards ceremony, which was attended by the Minister of Health, Mónica García.

After receiving the award, Martos began his speech by going back ten years, when the company gave a new boost to its Healthcare division to address the changes that the sector was going to undergo. ‘We focused on deep interoperability, complex management of clinical data and its use in processes and programmes that would respond to the new requirements demanded by citizens and patients in the 21st century,’ he explained.

Today, the project is a consolidated reality thanks to a multidisciplinary team made up of clinicians, consultants and technology experts who, thanks to their transversal knowledge of the sector, are developing innovative solutions to positively impact:

  • patients, facilitating interaction between the population and the health services
  • professionals, with technological developments that enable better management of data and processes and that increase the coordination and quality of the services offered
  • health systems, with solutions that promote the digital transformation of the health system to orient it towards a more cohesive model and to guarantee its capacity to adapt to current and future challenges

Minsait’s Global Healthcare Director went on to express his gratitude for the recognition of the SEIS, the trust of the National Health System, Minsait’s investment in ‘having a set of specialised products that compete with the best at an international level’, and the work of his team, ‘an essential part of the success of this journey’.

‘This award,’ added Antonio Martos, ’encourages us to continue building a future where technology is a powerful tool to guarantee more equitable, sustainable and people-centred healthcare.’
